Hey look, I made good on my threat to pay attention to the website! I've spent most of the last week hacking around with PHP, CSS, HTML, and other technical acronyms. It isn't exactly the way I want it yet. The photo gallery is a bit of a jumble, but it's at least a viewable jumble. ;-) There will probably be an indentation here or some extra spacing there over the next few days. Perhaps the occasional minor color change or graphic replacement.

If you're wondering where the "our stuff" section went, it's been mostly replaced by the menu bar across the top. The "Topics" section is a drop-down menu --snazzy!-- that lets you filter news stories based on . . . well, topic! The "psyche" pages aren't completely ported over, and probably won't be until I get less than 15 months behind on picture uploads, and get all the videos on the site converted to "Flash" format.

The place is usable though, and I think it's looking pretty durn spiffy if I do say so myself. And I do.

All of a sudden you're up to your armpits in comment SPAM, with the heathens littering cherished photos of family gatherings with links to "female sexual tonic" or "cat baldness" cures.

I reckon it's high time we blew the dust off of this thing and started paying attention to it again . . . .

I've been playing around with video encoding stuff, and have probably just learned enough to become dangerous. Actually what I've been trying to do is find the best way to get video off of the video camera encoded so that it's small enough to be viewed by more than three people. With what I've learned from fiddling with that, I also thought I'd try to reformat some of the other videos on the site so that it's easier for people to see them. Click "read more" for more info, and to help me make the site videos easier to see for everyone.

I do believe winter is upon us! Indianapolis airport got almost 8" of snow last night, and according to my aching back and thighs, we got at least 6" at stately Cates manor.
